with the former President of South Africa, Nelson Mandela, about leadership. We will

discuss Mandela's "8 Lessons of Leadership" in how to integrate his lessons as leaders

in our organizations.

Seminar #2:  Emotional Intelligence & Customer Hospitality

What is emotional intelligence?  I'll provide a brief overview of EI and then we will
learn from Danny Meyer, America's most innovative restaurateur, how he incorporates emotional intelligence into his "51 per cent solution" in hiring staff to be
"champions at the team sport of hospitality."

Key questions will be:

  • What is emotional intelligence?
  • What is emotional hospitality vs. technical excellence and service?
  • How does one measure emotional hospitality in an interview?

Seminar #3: Leonardo da Vinci and the Principles of Critical Thinking

Thursday, September 9, 3:30 - 5:00 p.m.

Leonardo da Vinci is ranked as the greatest genius in human history. 
How did he approach understanding his world?  How was he able to design a
bicycle and a helicopter? How can we use his critical thinking approaches in
today's world?  You will learn much about this fascinating and diverse man,
and the principles of critical thinking by virtue of the work done by Michael Gelb
in his book How to Think like Leonardo da Vinci - Seven Steps to Genius Every Day!

Key questions will be:

  • Who was Leonardo da Vinci and how did he influence our world?
  • What are the seven Da Vincian principles of critical thinking?
  • How can we use the principles of critical thinking in our work and lives?
